Registration is now open for Equipping Classes

The second semester of Equipping Classes will begin on January 3rd at 9:30 AM.

If you are deliberating between the class offerings, it may help you to learn about each teacher. In this series of posts, you will get an introduction to each person tasked with leading an Equipping Class.

This teacher has a long history encouraging the members at Indian Creek: Bill Sessum.

Bill Sessum

Bill and Leah married in 1987 and have two sons, Luke and Jacob.

The Sessum family has been serving at Indian Creek since 2001. Bill has served as an elder since 2013 and has taught Sunday School for several years.

Bill is an entrepreneur who loves his work, his family, and his church (not in that order). When pressured to pick a favorite book of the Bible, he will likely respond with Ephesians, John, Hebrews, or Romans, depending on his mood that day. His favorite books include Unseen Realm and Beyond the Cosmos. He is also an avid hunter who enjoys cooking and eating wild game.

This winter and spring, Bill is teaching a Core Study called Old Testament Survey, part 2. In his class, you will listen to lectures during the week given by Dr. Douglas K. Stuart of Gordon-Conwell Theological Seminary and discuss what you have learned on Sundays. If you have ever wanted to learn about the historical background, major themes, and insight into the stories, characters, and teaching of each Old Testament book, this is the class for you. This class will meet in room 183 in the Fellowship Hall.
