In Jonah 1:17, the wayward prophet is swallowed by a great fish. Chapter 2 is the record of his prayer from inside the fish. In his prayer, we hear Jonah's personal testimony: that God judged His sin and poured out His mercy. And in His judgment and mercy, we see a glimpse of the Messiah to come.
